Christmas is Over.....

As always....This time of year is always very busy.  But for one person much more so......

Santa has done his rounds and now it is time for him to take a well needed rest and than start getting ready for next year.

You too can start getting ready for next year with Lacy Sunshines Overstuffed Santa.  He is a cute Jolly Old Elf that can adorn any of your Christmas card makes for next year.    I decided to color him after Christmas so you can see that Santa had a very busy holiday and ate just one too many cookies on his rounds this year.

Santa was colored with Copics.

Julia Spiri December Challenge!

Julia Spiri December Challenge

Was even a challenge for me again this month.

This months challenge at Julia  Spiri is as always Anything Goes/with a twist.  That twist is No square cards.  Oh baby...it was a challenge for me. Not because I couldn't come up with a design but because in November I was packing for a move, my husband was ill and we lost our Doberman Reba.  I am so embarrassed to say that I never knew how much I loved her till she was gone.  It has been almost a month and I am still struggling.  But the move is done, now I am unpacking. ❤️

So for my challenge this month I colored an image from the Steampunk collection and used some of the cog elements to decorate.

Hope on over to the Challenge blog and check out the creations from my teamies and grab your craft supplies and come and join the fun.

While you are grabbing your code, make sure you check out my teamies fabulous makes this week.  I know I always look forward in seeing what all of them have made.

As the tile asked about seeing spots....no spots here this week, I used stripes.  DC teamies had the challenge of using spots or stripes.  Here is another design sheet of embellishments and papers from the amazing Octavia Frosted Winter.

These kits that are available in the Polkadoodles store are so versatile and easy to use.  If you haven't done so already you may just have to get yourself one of the kits!

Victorian Winter Emily

This weeks blog for my individual coloring is going to be brief.  We are in the process of setting up our new home and I have been packing away so that on the 3rd of Dec.  everything in the house will be ready for the furniture.

I colored Victorian Winter Emily to welcome in the holiday season.  She was so much fun.  Colored with Copics.

Giving Thanks....

With so much going on in the world this holiday season, I wanted to make a card in giving thanks for everything that I have.
It has been a very tough year......lost our job and home.......moved into a house owned by my brother in law, which was temporary and found out last month that we had to move again. UGH!!! We have moved 6 times since 2009 and I am so tired of packing and unpacking.
My husband has CHF and it is progressing faster than we thought it would so who knows what the future holds for us in that situation.  To top it off, we had to say good bye to Reba our Doberman on Veterans Day.  I never realized I would hurt so much in not having her around any more.
So with all this, and many other things happening in my life....what in the world do I have to be thankful for?  My life......being on a few design teams.....wonderful friends....and we bought a house!
For my make this week for Imagine That Digistamps I used one of the images from the Pilgrim image set.

I colored this little cutie with Copic markers and used two different designer papers,  the Fall Fun Designer Digital Paper

Adding my own SU cardstock for the layers.

Thank you for visiting me today.  Very Happy Thanksgiving to all my U.S. friends and a belated to all those who already celebrated.

Who is that Peeking in my Window?

My the days seem to be passing by at record speed lately.  The holidays are rapidly approaching and we are getting ready to move yet again.  Thankfully for the last time.  Instead of going somewhere temporary, we decided to purchase something that I will be able to take care of by myself if anything ever happens to my husband.  It is bittersweet.  We are going to have to get rid of our goats that we have had since 2009.
Enough about me and my and mine.
Welcome to Digi Choosday!

Make sure you head over to the Digi Choosday Challenge blog and grab your discount code for today.....it is a great time of year to be saving money, especially on those things that you know you need!

Over here at the Polkadoodles hang out, it beginning to look a lot like Christmas.  It is funny, I am making lots of Christmas cards for my DT requirements but haven't thought about making them for sending out.  lol.....I hate parting with them!

For this weeks challenge, the DC teamie gang and I was challenged to make a creation using the new and fabulous window/door die that is now available here.  Unfortunately for me tho....when I placed my order for the new dies, I mistakenly ordered 2 of one die, never checked and didn't get the window die.  Luckily for me tho there is a fabulous window image in the Festive Christmas collection that I was able to utilize.

I colored up the window frame with my copics, added some WOW glitter to the areas where there is suppose to be snow and made it into a shaker card by cutting out all the window panes and adding acetate.

Thanks for visiting and don't forget all your comments are appreciated and always read!

It's the mid month inspiration at Scrapper's Delights.

For this months card I actually colored the wrong image.  It has been one of those months all around.  I have been packing to move.  Had a closing for our new home which is an hour away...I have had the flu and I lost my fur baby girl...Reba.  Horrible month.

I ended up coloring Christmas Clara.

I changed things up a bit this week since the DC teamies had to use more than one layer this week. NO....I didn't use Winnie in Winterland....I know, what a surprise.  I am so in love with that collection.
No I used the Octavia Frosted Winter.  Another lovely collection.

This is one of the designer sheets.  It was a breeze to print out several copies and layered them one on top of the other to add my layers.

I also used the corner dies from the Ribbon/gift frame die set.

See you next week!
